A Creative Layout

My husband and I were able to get away for a week recently to Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky spending time relaxing and seeing a few sights with longtime friends that we consider family after nearly 30 years.

This is a picture of the outside of the Ark Experience in Kentucky.  I took it as we were leaving.  Quite an experience, and truly gave a better picture of what it might have been like on the ark.

Awhile back I participated in a card swap with fellow demonstrators.  This card was one of the cards I'd received.  It was made by Kristi Johnson and I just loved the layout.

I loved it so much, in fact, that I designed these cards using the same layout.  As you will see in the video I put together below, the second card has the designer series paper in a different location (that happens sometimes when you put the paper on upside down).  No worries, I just turned the paper around.

To make this card you will need:
Card base (either Just Jade or Misty Moonlight card stock) cut 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored along the 8-1/2" side at 4-1/4".
Card stock layer of the same color cut 5-1/4" x 4" and run through the die cutting machine with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder.
Your choice from the Flowers for Every Season designer series paper, cut 1-1/2" x 5".
Whisper White inside layer cut 5-1/4" x 4", and 2- 2-3/4" squares cut using the Stitched Shapes dies (the largest stitched square).

I hope you'll enjoy making a card using the stamps, ink and papers you have on hand.  Or, if you love this stamp set and paper as much as I do, click on the picture links below to purchase from my online store.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping!
