Projects from July's Stamping Escape Class

The projects from July's Stamping Escape Class all used the stamp set Kinda Eclectic that all demonstrator's received at the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake earlier this month.

The first 2 projects are cased from the display boards at Convention.  The tag/bookmark was made from a 2" piece of Whisper White card stock punched using the Angled Tag Topper punch.  The gold sequins are taken from the Gold Sequin trim and the antenae on the butterfly is one piece of thread that is left when you remove the sequins.

I love the colors on this card: Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Strawberry Slush and Sahara Sand.  If you aren't a fan of the Stamp-a-ma-jig, then you might want to become one.  It makes this layout work.  This one stamp would be helpful to have in Photopolymer!

This last card was one of the make & takes at Convention.  The photo doesn't show the addition of Basic Jewel Pearls, but I added them to finish off the card.

The last project was the box from the July My Paper Pumpkin kit.  Each kit gets better and better!  And, until September 10th new subscribers can receive their first 2 months at half price!  That's just a little over $10.  After that, the price returns to the normal pricing of $19.95 plus tax.  Shipping is always included.

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Stamping!

July Stamp Club

For stamp club this month, I wanted to show the new Blendabilities markers.  I absolutely love coloring with these markers!  They give such vibrant color and the blending is so easy to achieve!  This first card was the one my club ladies made.  The flower is from Flower Shop colored in using hte Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities markers  The background inages are from Gorgeous Grunge stamped in Sahara Sand ink onto Sahara Sand card stock.  The greeting is from the stamp set Remembering Your Birthday.

Here, I showed a "stepped up" card that adds a smaller flower from the stamp set Petite Petals.  The smaller flower is raised up with a Stampin' Dimensional and a Basic Pearl jewel colored with the darkers of the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities marker finishes off the look.  Both cards use a strip of Designer Series Paper from the Moonlight DSP stack, which is proving to be VERY popular since it's been on backorder a number of times already!

This next card I cased from another talented demonstrator, but I cannot remember who.  If it was you, please let me know and I will gladly give you credit!

The look is acheived by stamping the flowers and greeting onto Basic Black card stock using VersaMark ink and then heat embossing white embossing powder over the top.  Those white flowers are then colored in using the Blendabilities markers.  Here I used darkest of the Rich Razzleberry, Coastal Cabana, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight markers.  The greeting is given the varigated look by coloring the top with the lightest Coastal Cabana marker and the lower part with the darkest Coastal Cabana marker.

The final project was a small post-it note holder that would make a great gift.  The base card stock is Lost Lagoon, cut 6-7/8" by 3-1/4" and then scored at 3-1/4" from each end .  This holds perfectly a 3" by 3" post-it note pad, held in by 3 Mini Glue Dots.  The "take note" image on the front is from a past My Paper Pumpkin kit (the one where we got to make the note pad).  It's stamped in Lost Lagoon, punched out using the 1-1/4" Circle Punch, layered onto a Hello Honey 1-3/8" circle and finally layered onto a Basic Gray starbust cut using the Sizzix Big-Shot and the Starburst Framelits.  It's all held together with a piece of Hello Honey 3/8" Stitched Satin ribbon.  Oh, and before I forget the Designer Series Paper is again from the Moonlight paper stack.

Thanks again for stopping by.  Happy stamping!

Thank You Paper Pumpkin Style

Here are the thank-you notes that I came up with using the stamp set and left-over pieces from this month's My Paper Pumpkin kit.  They are simple, but I like them.  I'm hoping that my subscriber's will like them too.

Yippee for My Paper Pumpkin

I'm a bit late in posting pictures from this month's My Paper Pumpkin kit.  It came while I was away in Salt Lake City for Stampin' Up!'s annual convention and it's taken me all week to recover (not to mention that I had stamp club and a stamp class this week too)!

There is enough in this kit to make 6 cards and 6 gift boxes.  And, extra ribbon (a full roll of satin ribbon), baker's twine, silver stars, stickers (hearts & stars) and tags.  If you subscribed before and stopped, you want to rejoin.  The kits are so much nicer.  If you've never joined, until September 10th, you can join for 1/2 price!

Hopefully I'll get some alternative projects made and posted here soon.  Until then, thanks for stopping by.

Happy stamping!

Tall & Skinny Blendabilities Mojo352

I decided to play along again this week with the Mojo Monday sketch challenges.  This week's challenge is a tall & skinny card sketch.

Here is the card I came up with:

I ended up flipping the design elements because it worked better for the colored poppies.  The poppies were colored using the brand new Blendabilities markers.  These markers are SO addictive!  I used Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive and the darkest brown from the skin tones assortment to color with.

I also used a small piece of the new Typset Specialty Designer Series Paper on the card, and made a matching envelope with it as well utilizing the Envelope Punch Board.  So quick and easy.  What I love about this paper is that it is very thin and so perfect for card layering!

Thanks for stopping by.
