A Pastel Vintage Vogue

I had some time just the other day to stamp some more with the stamp set that those who attended regional seminars received, Vintage Vogue.

I used the Vintage Vogue stamp set as well as the matching Stampin' Around Jumbo wheel, Very Vintage. Colors used were Bashful Blue, Almost Amethyst, Lovely Lilac, Apricot Appeal, Pumpkin Pie, Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke. Accessories were the Pretties Kit, and So Saffron brads (from the Rich Regals brads), and Bashful Blue taffeta ribbon. To get the 2-tone look on the flowers and leaves, I used the Rock-and-Roll technique.

Day 22 Christmas Post

I'm really excited about what I'm sharing with you today. A friend showed me last year how to make bookmarks using leather string, beads and charms. It got me thinking, why can't you do something similar with ribbon and parts from the Pretties Kit? You can!

I started with a 20 inch piece of Kraft Taffeta ribbon (the finished bookmark is 11 inches for the spine area of the book) and knotted each end to leave room for the book spine. You need to cut the ribbon at a sharp point in order to thread all the beads through. Then, just decide your pattern and knot and slide beads.

Here's a picture of just the bookmark. These would make great last-minute gifts for Christmas and only took a few minutes to assemble.

Thank You "Clearly" Card

Here is a card that I made using the printed window sheets in the Occasions Mini Catalog (page 10).  I'm not too quick in doing anything with these window sheets, as I've had them on my stamping desk now for over a month!

It was difficult to get a good picture, as the light just bounces off the window sheet.  But, this was a very easy card to put together.  The printed window sheets come 2 to a package and there are 4 images on each sheet that can be cut apart.  The perfect size for the front of a card.  Here I used Riding Hood Red textured card stock as the base of the card.  The window sheet is attached only by the Fire Circle Rhinestone brad that is the center of the flower (from the Pretties Kit).
