Stampin' Up! Convention M & T Projects plus a bonus

Up until this year, I've taken the time to stamp and assemble my make & take projects from convention while at convention.  This year however, things were rather fast-paced and we were warned that it would be possible to take part in everything.  For me, that meant that I would skip making my projects at convention, and do them when I returned home. Here they are and I had a wonderfully relaxing time making them. This adorable bag uses the Tag a Bag gift bag bundle and the stamp set Tag It (which is the Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set this year, $3 of each one goes to help this worthwhile charity).  So quick and easy! These quick Tag a Bag Gift boxes are so fun, and this project covered the top of the box with a stamped cover and then some quick embellishments.  The stamp set(s) are Gorgeous Grunge and Hello, Lovely. I should have taken a photo before I put the note cards inside, but this bag has 5 matching note cards w/envelo...

July Class/Club Projects

I've been back from Stampin' Up!'s annual convention in Salt Lake City, Utah now for a week!  It's taken me that long to recuperate!  What an amazing time of being inspired, learning, and spending time with some great ladies! Here are this month's class/stamp club projects all using the stamp set Label Love and the coordinating  Artisan Label punch .  You can bundle these two together and save 15% too!    Are you in need of a quick gift or gift packaging?  These quick little Tag a Bag Gift Boxes are just what you need.  They come 8 to a package and you can add the tags to bundle them and make gift giving even easier. For this project I simply added a strip of designer series paper, some ribbon and a quick tag using the Label Love stamp set and a 1-3/4" Circle punch. There's noting more basic than a black & white card!  Here I've combined Basic Black and Very Vanilla.  The new Modern Medley Designer Series...

One Last Swap

I knew that I wanted to make lip-balm holders for my last 3-D swap for Convention.  I just wasn't sure what it would look like.  Awhile back, I'd posted a floral lip balm holder using a tutorial that one of my team members, Jen had shared with our group.  This uses pretty much the same template, but has an outer piece as well as an inner one that holds the lip balm.   Isn't it adorable!  I can see me making these again.  Instead of closing with a ribbon, they close with a small velcro dot. Thanks for stopping by.

Still More Swaps

I wanted to share with you a couple of my 3-D swaps that I made for Stampin' Up! Convention.  I've gotten to where I really enjoy swapping 3-D's.  I'm excited to see what I get in return.  I'll share that with you soon. The base is made using the Apothecary Accents Framelits and the Sizzix Big Shot.  The drink package is stapled to the top, and then the message that was cut using the Bitty Banner Framelits, then attached using Mini Glue Dots.   When the new catalog came out, I knew that I just had to purchase the coffee stamp set.  I'm kind-of a sucker for coffee stamps.  My hubby said that I'm bribing people to swap with me by giving away Starbuck's Via!  Whatever it takes!

More Convention Swaps

As I write this, I'm a bit tired but so pumped for Stampin' Up!'s annual convention!  It seems like it was just yesterday that I registerd.  Anyway, here are a couple more of my Convention swaps.   I got the idea from Pinterest.  The card wasn't a SU! card and a different dimension, but I loved the use of the different textured impressions folders.  The top card uses Coastal Cabana and Crumb Cake.  The image is Sassy Salutations.  The card below uses Strawberry Slush and Sahara Sand. The script embossing folder is a new one from the Holiday Catalog.  Some of you may have seen the catalog already since it was mailed out earlier this month.  You can start ordering from it starting August 1st!

SU! 2013 Convention Swaps

I've been busy working on my Convention swaps over the past couple of weeks.  There have been a number of other things going on as well, so posting here has been non-existent. Here is the first of my card front swaps. I tried a new technique out, magical masking tape .   I wanted to use products that Stampin' Up! still carries (a big deal at convention and any other Stampin' Up! event), so I tried both the Shimmery White card stock and Whisper White card stock instead of the glossy card stock.  I'm pleased to report that both work.  I just happened to have more Whisper White than Shimmery White, so that's what I used.  The only tip I'll mention is to not leave the masking tape on the card stock for very long, as it will tear away the surface of the card stock and you'll have to re-do everything.  I also used regular old masking tape and not the blue painters tape, and had no problems. The saying and the flower are heat embossed with Early Espresso ...

Bridal Gift Card Holder

There's nothing like needing to give a gift-card as a gift and needing to put it in something pretty too.  Especially when everyone knows you are the "stamping lady"!  That was me this past weekend for my friends bridal shower.   Thankfully for me, my friend Kathy gave me a gift card holder this past year that was so adorable and easy to create.  So, the card above is what I came up with.  I used Wisteria Wonder and some Whisper White card stock.  The dress is from the set Love & Laughter, embossed with Iridescent Ice embossing powder.  The embossing folder used is the retired Lacy Brocade.   It was a huge hit.
