I've shared before that when I find myself struggling to come up with creative designs, my go-to is to look at either Stampin' Up! catalogs or by going to sketch or color challenges. Once again this week, that is exactly where I found myself, and so I turned to the July-December Mini catalog for inspiration. The card in the middle of page 8 (found below) was what inspired me. The designers of this card chose to use a smaller card size than the traditional 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". And, they used more of the Designer Series Paper and an additional stamp bundle. I wanted to re-create the card but in a simpler fashion. To get a similar look by stamping the candy cane, I used the basic technique of Markering.
