Vivid Vases

Today I'm sharing with you a couple cards I made using the Vivid Vases and Hardwood stamps from the Occasions Catalog.

The first card I made for a swap on Monday night.  I love the simplicity and it was a lot of fun to watercolor the flowers and vases.   A piece of Calypso Coral Baker's Twine and the small scallop edge on the bottom of the Calypso Coral layer finish it off rather nicely!

The small scallop edge was made using the Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Addition for the Stampin' Trimmer and the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade.  So fun and easy!

The second card uses both of the stamps mentioned above.  For the frame, I stamped the Hardwood stamp in Early Espresso ink onto a piece of Soft Suede card stock and then trimmed the "boards" in strips.  They were cut at 45 degree angles on the ends and assembled as if it were a frame.

The Vivid Vases stamp was stamped onto a piece of Vellum card stock using Jet Black Staz-On ink and then colored on the backside using the Many Marvelous Markers.  Many call this the stained glass technique.

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget that the biggest sale of the Stampin' Up! year, Sale-a-Bration, ends on Monday, March 31st!  Don't miss out on your free products with each $50 order.
