August Stamp Club Projects

This month's stamp club projects featured the stamp set, Amazing Birthday (#134225 in wood-mount or #134228 in clear-mount).  This first project uses one sheet of the new Moonlight DSP stack (#133701).  Each sheet in this stack measures 4-1/2" x 6-1/2".  The little gift bag is perfect for small fun-sized candies or a gift card.

The next card makes great use of the Stampin' Write markers.  Simply color each section of the stamp in different colors and stamp onto a piece of Whisper White card stock.  For the background, a simple textured piece of card stock works well.  Here, I used the Arrows TIEF (#132187) and the Texture Boutique Machine.

This last card was cased from the display boards at Inspie, Create, Share 2014.  It again uses the Moonlight DSP stack, a textured background this time Alphabet Press (#130916), and a few stars punched with the star punch from Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

August Class Projects

Here are the projects we made at the stamping escape class this past Thursday.  All were made using the Big News stamp set out of the catalog.
This card is a 3" x 4" card with coordinating envelope (made using designer series paper & the envelope punch board) perfect for a gift card.  The tiny dots were made with one of the stamps from the August My Paper Pumpkin kit.
For this card, I used the Angled Topper Tag punch making a long tag that is punched on both ends.  It's wrapped around the card front and then tied together in the front with a piece of Crisp Canteloupe thick bakers twine.  The image was stamped using Momento ink and colored over using Calypso Coral Blendabilities Markers.

Other details are the Decorative Dots texture impressions folder and the small punched heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

For this card, the focal image is again a tag made this time from the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.  Everything is done in Smoky Slate with the accents being the Lovely Lace textured impressions folder and Rhinestone Basic Jewels.
Finally, a baby card again using the Angled Topper Tag punch (another long piece that wraps inside the card).

A piece of Pistachio Pudding card stock, Designer Series Paper, and thick bakers twine as well as 1/2 a piece of Tea Lace Doily and 2 So Saffron stars that were punched using the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack finishes the look.

Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek

One of the perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator is being able to purchase new things from the Holiday Catalog a month before the catalog is relased to everyone.  So, I've been playing with some new "toys".  Here is one card that I've made using a new stamp set, White Christmas.  It's a new photopolymer set and so fun to use.

It's a fairly simple card with just a few elements.  To give a look of freshly falling snow, I added just a touch of Dazzling Details (difficult to see in the picture).  The greeting image was longer than the Word Window punch, so I cut it at the same width and then fed the ends through the punch ends to get a longer piece.  I liked the way it looked layered onto a "normal" size Modern Label punched piece.  Oh, the Designer Series Paper is another sneak peek from the Holiday catalog too.  It's a specialy paper called, All Is Calm.  Beautiful, soft colors!

An Age Awareness Paper Pumpkin Birthday

The last couple of days I haven't been able to play in my stamp room.  I've wanted to, but there was just too much household things to be working on.  My husband and I are working on getting a room in our basement finished by the end of this month so that our son will have a room when he moves back home for awhile.  So, I've been painting and helping out with other jobs as needed.

However, I did make it in my stamp room long enough to play today!  I've been wanting to do something with the remnants of the star sheet that came with the July Paper Pumpkin kit.  I'm pretty pleased with the results.

I used the new Photopolymer stamp set Age Awareness and the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, a bit of Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon and some Basic Jewels Rhinestones to finish the look.  The only trouble with this card is that it's sorta blinding!  That silver paper is SHINY.

Thanks again for stopping by!
Happy stamping.

Paper Pumpkin Birthday

When I first opened up my July Paper Pumpkin kit and saw the stars that came with it, I knew that I wanted to find a way to use the inside of the stars.  Here is what I came up with (so far that is!).

I ran the card front through the Big Shot using the Large Polka Dot TIEF and then glued on stars in the center of a row of the polka dots.  The stamp set that came with the July kit is SO versatile!  I placed the happy image in front of the birthday image and stamped them in Island Indigo ink onto a strip of Whisper White card stock.  A strip of Tangelo Twist and Island Indigo card stock as well as the striped Smoky Slate sticker that came with the kit finishes off the look.

Quick and easy, and I think worthy of a masculine card!

A Captain America Birthday

When the Photopolymer stamp set, Calling All Heros was announced by Stampin' Up! I knew I wanted it.  There is a certain nephew of mine who loves super-heros and especially Captain America. The basic layout was cased from another demonstrator, but I don't remember who.  It uses the Circle Card Thinlits Die for the Sizzix Big-Shot, that is awesome for quick interactive cards.

The "happy birthday" and inside greeting both come from the stamp set Remembering Your Birthday.   The "happy birthday" was stamped using a Stampin' Write Marker and the Stamp-a-ma-jig.    I'm pretty sure that my nephew is going to LOVE this card!
