Paper Pumpkin Fun

When I opened up my March subscription of My Paper Pumpkin, I thought the "congrats" die cut wooden accents would make a great graduation card.  I didn't change much, just added the graduation cap (made from card stock and punches).

Don't miss out on getting a free set of markers with your My Paper Pumpkin Subscription.  It ends today (March 31st)!

Still Counting Down Sale-a-Bration

Here is another card made using the wonderful Sale-a-Bration products.  This idea was cased from another SU! demonstrator, but I don't remember who.  If it's you, please let me know so that I can give proper credit.

It starts with a piece of 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Crumb Cake card stock.  One 5-1/2" edge is punched using the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, placing the scallop in the middle.  Trim the excess card stock, then score from the trimmed edge at 1" and 4-3/8".  Decorate with Designer Series Paper (here I used Sweet Sorbet) and an embellishment.  I used flowers punched using the Petite Petals and Pansy punches.  They were embossed using the Sizzix Big-Shot and the Decorative Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  (Thanks to my friend Kathy Howes for the flower.)

Here is the inside of the card.  It closes with a small velcro dot.  The finished size measures 5-1/2" x 3-3/8".

Sale-a-Bration Countdown

Sale-a-Bration (Stampin' Up!'s biggest sale of the year) is winding down, and in just a few days will be gone for this year.  With that in mind, I'm posting a project made using SAB products.

This is a simple card and one that you could easily make a lot of at one time for different occasions.  I didn't stamp a greeting, but one could easily be added on the right side.

The stamp set it Petal Parade and it's stamped 2 times, once in Coastal Cabana and once in Calypso Coral.  The Coastal Cabana flower is punched out using the 1-3/4" Circle punch.  The Calypso Coral flower is punched out using the 1-1/4" Scallop Circle punch.  They are then layered onto a 2-3/8" Scallop Circle punched from Calypso Coral card stock.  A Pearl Basic Jewel, dots made using the White Stampin' Chalk Marker, and a piece of Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim finish off the look.

Don't miss out on the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper!  I'm so going to miss it and love the color combination.

Thanks for stopping by.

Vivid Vases

Today I'm sharing with you a couple cards I made using the Vivid Vases and Hardwood stamps from the Occasions Catalog.

The first card I made for a swap on Monday night.  I love the simplicity and it was a lot of fun to watercolor the flowers and vases.   A piece of Calypso Coral Baker's Twine and the small scallop edge on the bottom of the Calypso Coral layer finish it off rather nicely!

The small scallop edge was made using the Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Addition for the Stampin' Trimmer and the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade.  So fun and easy!

The second card uses both of the stamps mentioned above.  For the frame, I stamped the Hardwood stamp in Early Espresso ink onto a piece of Soft Suede card stock and then trimmed the "boards" in strips.  They were cut at 45 degree angles on the ends and assembled as if it were a frame.

The Vivid Vases stamp was stamped onto a piece of Vellum card stock using Jet Black Staz-On ink and then colored on the backside using the Many Marvelous Markers.  Many call this the stained glass technique.

Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget that the biggest sale of the Stampin' Up! year, Sale-a-Bration, ends on Monday, March 31st!  Don't miss out on your free products with each $50 order.

March Stamp Projects

I've been absent from my blog as of late.  However, I'm still here and busy with life.  Here are the projects we made this month at my stamp club and classes.  They are all Easter themed projects using the stamp set Eggstra Spectacular.

This first card was cased from Mary Fish, and you can find her card if you click on her name.

This adorable treat holder uses the Scalloped Tag Topper punch and holds 2 Hershey Nuggets.  The idea was cased from Lorri Heiling.  You can see her treat holder by clicking on her name.

This last card was one I've wanted to make for awhile now.  I took ideas from many different demonstrators.  My friend Kathy Howes inspired me to add a face to the inside of the card.  Thanks, Kathy.  It was a wonderful suprise for my customers!
