The More The Merrier Birthday

I'm back from a family reunion, and wanted to post the latest card that I made. It uses the stamp set The More the Merrier (a level 3 hostess set in the current catalog). The image is stamped in Basic Black Classic ink and colored in using the Many Marvelous Markers. The "happy birthday" image is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. The base of the card is Melon Mambo and the scallops are done on Barely Banana using the Scallop Edge punch. The final touch is adding some Dazzling Diamonds glitter, and the base card getting some texture with the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 texture plates for the Sizzix Big Shot.

Friend Like You

This summer has been busy! I thought that it was time that I posted another stamped creation, so here it is. This is stamped using one of the new level 2 hostess sets, The More the Merrier. This is just one of the many images in this set. Although it's hard to see, the hearts have been given dimension by using Crystal Effects on them after they were colored. All the coloring was done using markers. The punched edge is done using the Eyelet Border punch. A simple card.

Lots of Bots Round 2

Back from vacation and finally getting a chance to post a few more project ideas. This first card uses the stamp set Lots of Bots. The card base is Bermuda Bay card stock. The "bot" is stamped in Jet Black Staz-On ink and colored in using markers. The ice bag on his head has Crystal Effects applied to give dimension. This piece is then layered onto a piece of Dusty Durango card stock. The finishing touches are a silver eyelet and a strip of Basic Gray card stock embossed with the Crop-A-Dile. This second card also uses the Lots of Bots stamp set and Bermuda Bay card stock. The "bot" is stamped in Jet-Black Staz-On ink and colored in using markers and then cut using the Circle Scissor Plus. The smaller circles are punched using the 1-3/8" and 1-1/4" circle punches from Melon Mambo and Green Galore card stock. A Pewter jumbo eyelet, and a Gable Green strip of card stock stapled at the top finish it all off.

New Catalog Samples

I'm so excited about the new Idea Book & Catalog. The new In-Colors are awesome, not to mention the new stamp sets and accessories. Here is a card that is made using the new set "Lots of Bots". The card base is Bermuda Bay card stock. The other color accents are Melon Mambo and Green Galore. The "Bot" is colored in using Stampin' Write Markers. And, yes, the new In-Colors can be purchased in a set of 6 markers. This second card has a Rich Razzleberry card stock base and a Crushed Curry strip of card stock along the left edge. The Crushed Curry is stamped with one of the accent images in the same color ink. The "Bot" is colored in with Stampin' Write Markers onto Whisper White card stock and layered onto Basic Gray card stock. To finish it all off, 3 silver eyelets were adhered to the lower right corner.

Ribbon Bookmarks

These bookmarks are projects made at my June stamp club.  The idea is not my own, but borrowed from Mandy Grant, a fellow demonstrator (www.L-inkedTogether.blogspot.com)  This bookmark uses Baja Breeze 1" double-stitched ribbon and the Flower Fusion Too accent & elements.  Both are retiring at the end of this month.  The stamp used is Say It With Scallops #111678 $17.95, the Ronald McDonald House Charities stamp set, also retiring at the end of this month. The image is stamped onto a 1-1/2"x1-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock in Chocolate Chip Classic ink.  The layered flowers are then attached with a silver brad to the center.  The words are covered up with the flowers, you only see the scallop border.  The backing is a 1-3/4"x1-3/4" piece of Chocolate Chip card stock.  To get the ribbon to feed through, you use the Horizontal Slot punch.  Punch once in the center of one edge, about 1/2" from the lower edge.  Then, punch again about 1/2 width of ...

Comfort Food Gift Notes & Box

I have been wanting to make a little gift note and box combo using the Comfort Food Level 1 hostess set from the current Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog.  After this month, it will be retired and no longer available.  So, here it is.  The box is made using 2 Scallop Envelop die cuts, adhered together with sticky strip on the sides and bottom.  The bottom flaps have been trimmed so they were only 1/2" deep.  The band around the box is from Candy Lane designer series paper, and the "for you" image (All Holiday's set) was stamped in Close to Cocoa ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and punched using the small oval punch.  To finish it off, I tied a Riding Hood Red piece of taffeta ribbon around and tied it in a know on the front. Here are the 3x3 notes that I placed inside the box.  Each are colored using markers.  The donut has some Dazzling Diamonds glitter on the frosting.  It makes a really cute gift.
