Just a Little Ink - Amy Taylor - justalittleink.com

I had a few minutes today to work on a couple of cards that will go into a donation basket for a local soccer league fundraiser next month. The cards are fairly simple, but I'm pleased with how they turned out. Both use the All In The Family and On Your Birthday stamp sets.

I wanted to share another quick valentine made using the Love You Much bundle. The Pink Pirouette card measures 4-1/4"x4-1/2" (finshed size). The background was stamped using the 3-hearts in the stamp set and Pink Pirouette Classic ink. It's not easy to see in this picture thoguh. A Close to Cocoa strip that has been dry embossed using the Dots classy brass template. The heart was stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock using Riding Hood Red Classic ink and colored in using a blender pen and Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Close to Cocoa, and Old Olive Classic inks, then cut out and adhered using Stampin' Dimensionals. The lower strip of card stock is Old Olive, and the "Happy Valentines Day" stamp from Holidays & Wishes stamp set was stamped using Close to Cocoa Classic ink.

Here is a little pillow box filled with Hershey Kisses that would be a perfect gift for either kid's classrooms or just to give to friends. It's made using the Big Shot and the Pillow Box die and acetate sheets. Really quick and easy to make a bunch up in no time at all! To finish it all off, I stamped the 3-hearts image from the Love You Much bundle with White Staz-On ink onto the acetate after it was die-cut. The scallop was made using the Hugs & Kisses stamp and Jet Black Staz-On ink, then watercolored using the Riding Hood Red and Pink Pirouette Classic ink pads and blender pens and punched out with the scallop circle punch. A 1-1/4"x5" strip of paper from Candy Lane DSP (also in the bundle) was adhered around the middle. A 12" piece of Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon was tied in the opposite direction on top of this and the scallop piece was adhered using Mini Glue Dots. We made these at stamp club this month.

Here is another card I made using the Love You Much bundle special going on: The base of the card is Close to Cocoa card stock cut at 6-1/4"x5-1/8" to make a 3-1/8"x5-1/8" card. The vertical and horizontal pieces of Designer Series paper is Candy Lane DSP from the bundle special. The hugs & kisses stamp is stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla card stock in Basic Brown ink and watercolored using Riding Hood Red and a blender pen. It's hard to see in the picture, but the heart was cut-out of a second stamped piece and given dimension by using a Stampin' Dimensional underneath. The whole thing was cut-out, 1/8" holes punched from around the scallops and mounted onto a Riding Hood Red scallop punched using the Scallop Circle punch. The final touch was punching once using the Spiral punch on the top of the opening edge. Hope this inspires you to get busy creating some valentine's!

Now that the Christmas holiday is past, school is back in session and things are returning to "normal" I'm back creating new projects to share with you. This card is made using the Love You Much bundle that Stampin' Up! has on special through this month (see earlier post for details). The card base is Regal Rose card stock cut to 5-3/4"x6-1/2" folded in half to make a 5-3/4"x3-1/4" card. The "Love you much" stamp is stamped in Jet-Black Staz-on ink onto Whisper White card stock, then colored in using Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery stamp pads and blender pens. The edges were distressed with the cutter kit. The Hearts are from the 3-heart punch (available with the bundle) and finished off with a pink fire circle rhinestone. The grass is a 1/2" strip of Certainly Celery card stock snipped at the top edge to create grass.
