Peek-a-Boo Z-Fold Dragonfly Card

I was privileged once again to participate in another swap this month. Swapping gives me great ideas that I can then share with all of you! Here is the card I made: From the front, it looks like just a simple card. This layout is a great way to use that Designer Series Paper that you've been hoarding!  But, this is how the card opens up, and what a 'wow' it is: The inside opens in Z-fold fashion! Don't miss the step-by-step video below. Measurements:  Basic White Thick cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", and scored along the 8-1/2" side at 4-1/4" Basic White cardstock: 3" x 4-1/4" Misty Moonlight cardstock: 5-1/4" x 8", and scored along the 8" side at 2" & 4" Dandy Garden 6"x6" DSP: 1 sheet (cut to 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"; leftover piece, cut down to 5-1/8" long (should be 1-7/8" wide); cut the 3rd largest circle from the Layering Circles Dies from a coordinating scrap Step-by-Step Video: tams# 59...

#SU! Annual Catalog Sneak Peek Beauty of Friendship Card

Here's a little sneak-peek from the new 2021 Annual Catalog: Each month I send a hand-stamped card to each of my first-level team members. This was the card I sent for April. It's a quick and easy fun-fold card idea. Here's the inside. It's lightweight and the base only uses a half-sheet of cardstock. Here are a couple other cards I made using the same suite of products and this same layout: This suite of products (Beauty of the Earth) is from the 2021 Annual Catalog. You can begin ordering from it beginning May 4th. Here is a video showing how simple this card is to make: Measurements: Misty Moonlight cardstock: 4-1/4" x 8-1/4" and scored at 2-3/4" along the 8-1/4" side; scrap for die-cut bird Mossy Meadow cardstock: 2-3/4" x 4-1/4" Basic White cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4"; 2-1/2" x 4"; 2" x 2" (scrap could be bigger); 3/4" x 3" (scrap could be bigger) Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper: 1" x 4...

#Horizontal Pop-Out Swing Card w/sneak peek InColor

This month at my stamp club the ladies made a horizontal pop-out swing card using the Free as a Bird stamp set.  The card is really pretty simple, but it gives a big "wow" to anyone who receives it! I had a couple ladies who were unable to join us, and so I wanted to share the how-to instructions so they can have a visual. Well, because the Seaside Spray cardstock is already sold-out, I came up with an alternative card that uses current (and a sneak peek of a soon to be released InColor) products. Isn't the sloth so cute? And, he works so well for this card design. As I mention in the video step-by-step instructions below, the Stitched Nested Labels dies are on the retiring list and only available through May 3rd or while supplies last! I will really miss using them. Here are the measurements for the card: Smoky Slate card base: 11" x 4-1/4" and scored along the 11" side at 5-1/2" Blushing Bride: largest and 2nd smallest Stitched Nested Labels dies ...

#Simple Saturday Sending Sunshine Card

Do you often look for simple cards you can put together quickly? Or maybe you are in need of making multiple cards and hope you can find a layout that makes doing that possible! If so, then this just might be for you. Today is the first of my #Simple Saturday video tutorials, and I'm hoping that you find it (and the ones that will follow) helpful. The Sending Sunshine stamp set from Stampin' Up! was new in the annual catalog last June. Unfortunately, it's among the products that will be retiring on May 3, 2021 (or sooner if they sell out). I love the serene setting the stamp set gives you. The refreshing water, the setting sun; it all gives me cause to relax! Here are the measurements for this simple card: Coastal Cabana cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", and scored along the 8-1/2" side at 4-1/4"; 1-5/8" x 5-1/4" Sahara Sand cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4"; 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" and textured using the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder and th...
