One Last Brusho Tree....

I have one more Brusho Crystal tree to share with you.  This one shows what it looks like when you do not heat emboss the tree before using the Brusho Crystal Colours.  The method I used, was sprinkling onto the tree and then spritzing with the Stampin' Spritzers.

It gives a more distressed look!  So, I decided to do the same treatment to the greeting.

Let me know what you think, and thanks for stopping by!

More Brusho...

As I promised, I'm sharing another project that I made while playing with the Brusho Crystal Colour. For this project, I tried brushing the water onto the embossed tree using an Aqua Painter and then sprinkling the Brusho Crystal Colour's.

I'll admit that I'm not as pleased with this technique.   Though the Shimmery card stock doesn't soak in the water was much as Watercolor Paper does, it still dries rather quickly.  This doesn't give you much time, and I ended up using the Aqua Painter to move the color around.

Thanks for stopping by.

Playing with Brusho

This past weekend I had the privilege to travel to Atlanta to be with my husband for his work holiday party.  It was good to get away, and relax.  No stamping went on though!  We came back to a snowstorm and cold, icy weather.  Back to Colorado reality!

I'm spending a little time the second half of this week in my stamping room though.  Yesterday, I spent time via video with a couple of my stamping buddies.  It was great and I shared this card with them:

After trying Brusho by wetting the surface first and then sprinkling the Brusho powder, I switched and sprinkled the powder and then spritzed using the Stampin' Spritzers filled with water.  The paper I used was Watercolor Paper and the tree from Sheltering Tree was heat embossed with clear embossing powder after stamping it using Early Espresso ink.  It was so much fun!  I can't wait to try other colors.

Thanks for stopping by.

A Little More Birthday 'Wit'

So, I planned that I would share the projects made at my classes and clubs this month with the idea that when I did so, everyone who attended would have already seen them.  Well, a little Colorado snow and mostly ice storm put a little dent into this plan.  My stamp club in Thornton didn't end up meeting as planned since it would have meant me driving through the said icy roads.  So, gals for you this is ending up being a sneak peek or spoiler alert whichever way you want to look at it.

Having said that, here is another Birthday Wit project:

I need to mention that this card layout and idea came from a fellow demonstrator, Kelly Kent.  Thanks, Kelly!

First, I stamped the greeting onto a rectangle of Whisper White card stock using Bermuda Bay Ink.  Then, I inked each of the 'labels' with the Stampin' Write markers and then stamped it onto a smaller piece of Whisper White card stock and then cutting each one out and popping them up with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  I liked the texture that it gave the card.  You could certaintly just stamp once with the different colors for a quicker card!

Thanks again for stopping by.
