March Class Projects

Here are the projects we made in my March classes.  Easter was the theme and I think these projects were perfect for the occasion.

This card idea was shared at Stampin' Up!'s Leadership conference back in January.  Theirs was a note-card sized card, but I wanted to make mine a 4-1/4"x5-1/2" sized card.

Stamps:  Cheerful Critters, Crazy About You
Colors:  Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, Blushing Bride, Whisper White, So Saffron, Sahara Sand, Pistachio Pudding
Accessories:  Stampin' Dimensionals, Adventure Bound DSP stack

This beautiful card idea came from my friend Kathy Howes.  She said, however, that she got the idea from Dawn Griffith.  It uses the Sale-a-Bration paper, Irresistibly Yours designer series paper.  It's great for those emboss resist cards, and all the embossing has been done for you!

Stamps:  Crazy About You
Colors:  Blushing Bride, Whisper White, Tuxedo Black Memento Ink
Accessoris:  Stampin' Dimensionals, Pearls Basic Jewels, 2-Way Glue pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Stampin' Sponges

The final project was this adorable basket.  It's made from the awesome Berry Basket Bigz L Die for the Sizzix Big-Shot.  Accented with a floral trim made using the Painted Blooms DSP, a bow made with the Bow Builder Punch.  This basket idea from Claudia Maser.

Colors:  Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo
Accessories:  Sizzix Big-Shot, Berry Basket Bigz L Die, Handheld Stapler, Painted Blooms DSP, Bow Builder Punch, Mini Glue Dots

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Stamping!

March Stamp Club Projects

We've been experiencing some strange weather here in Colorado the last couple of months.  Some unseasonably warm days that make you think it's spring or even summer, and then next thing you are right back into the heart of winter with cold and snow!

Last month when I was supposed to travel to the northern suburbs for my monthly stamp club, it was very cold and snowy.  After rescheduling once, hoping for great weather the following week, I ended up canceling all together when it was cold and snowy once again!  So this month, we made the projects I'd planned for the previous month AND a new project just in time for easter!

This card idea came from Mary Fish.  You can see her ceation here.

Stamp set:  Time to Celebrate (hostess only)
Colors:  Tuxedo Black, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive & Whisper White
Accessories:  Sizzix Big Shot, Circles Collection Framelits dies, Brights Color Dots, Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Cotton Ribbon, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals.

This beautiful card was inspired by a card made at a shoebox swap I participated in back in January at Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference.  Sheri's card used the stamp I Love Lace for the background and the phrase from the stamp set Painted Petals.  Because it's Sale-a-Bration, I wanted to use SAB sets, so I chose the phrase from Best Day Ever and the background stamp from the Occasions Catalog, Something Lacy.

Stamp sets:  Something Lacy & Best Day Ever
Colors:  Blackberry Bliss, Whisper White
Accessories:  Bow Builder Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Blackberry Bliss 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots, Tombow Multipurpose Adhesive

This file card was inspired from Stampin' Up!'s talented designers.  It uses the Envelope Punch Board to make a fun and simple file card.

Stamps:  Best Day Ever
Colors:  Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Coastal Cabana, Whisper White
Accessories:  Envelope Punch Board, 1-3/4" Circle Punch, 2" Circle Punch, Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, Rhinestones Basic Jewels, Best Year Ever DSP (SAB), Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (SAB), Paper Trimmer, Project Life Corner Rounder Punch, Tombow Multi-Purpose Adhesive.

Last, but certainly not least, is the Easter card.  It was inspired by a card made by Brian King.  When I first saw this cute stamp set, I thought it would be great for Spring.  So, that's what I did!

Stamp sets:  Cheerful Critters & Crazy About You
Colors:  Tuxedo Black Ink, Whisper White, Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding, So Saffron, Blushing Bride, Tangelo Twist, Baked Brown Sugar, Soft Suede.
Accessories:  Fringe Scissors, Strawberry Slush Thick Baker's Twine, Envelope Punch Board & 2013-15 In-Color DSP Stack (for envelope).

Thanks again for stopping by.
Happy Stamping!

New Photopolymer Stamp Set & Sad News

Don't you just love this new photopolymer stamp set from Stampin' Up!?  It's reminiscent of stamps from a few years ago, and I personally love it.

BLENDABILITIES UPDATE!!!

On a much sadder note, Stampin' Up! has decided to discontinue the Blendabilities product line due to quality issues that cannot be resolved with the manufacturer.  I'm very sad about this, as I love these markers and I know many of you do too.  If you have issues with any Blendabilities Markers that you have purchased through me, please let me know ASAP and I will contact Stampin' Up! to see what they can do for you.

February Class Projects

I'm finally posting the projects from February's Stampin' Escape Class.  All but two of them are ideas cased either in part or in entirety from other talented demonstrators.  One of the things I love most about being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator is the sharing and friendships that develop among demonstrators.  It's a family in so many ways.

Stamps:  From the Herd
Paper:  Real Red, Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Vellum Cardstock
Accessories:  Heat Tool, White embossing powder, Sizzix Big-Shot, Project Life Framelits, 1" Circle Punch, Project Life Corner Rounder

This project was cased from Linda Creech, fellow SU! Demonstrator

Stamps:  From the Herd, Hardwood
Paper:  Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip
Accessories:  Sizzix Big-Shot, Circle Card Thinlits dies, 2-1/2" & 2" Circle punch, Modern Label Punch, Blendabilities Markers, Linen Thread

Inside view of card.
This card was cased from Tracie St-Louis.

This last card uses the new chalkboard paper.  Because I wanted a black & white card, I used Whisper White Craft ink.  There really is a distinct difference between using the chalkboard paper and basic black paper.

Stamps:  Big Day (sale-a-bration stamp set available only through March 31st)
Paper:  Basic Black, Whisper White, Chalkboard Paper
Accessories:  Stacked with Love DSP, 1/8" Basic Black Taffeta Ribbon, 2-1/2" Circle Punch, Paper Snips

Thanks for stopping by.
Happy stamping!

Blendabilities Update

I want you to know that Stampin' Up! is experiencing quality issues with the Blendabilities markers.
Except for the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad (item #132708) and the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad Refill (item #133456), all Blendabilities Markers are unavailable for ordering.  This includes Blendabilities markers that are in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  At this time, backorders for Blendabilities will not be fulfilled.
I know that this is an invonvenience for many of you, and I will share more information when it becomes available.  It's good to represent a company that puts a high value on quality.
