January Stamp Club Projects

This month for my stamp club projects we made Valentine's Day themed cards. The first one is a 3"x6" card and the background uses the new Letter Press plates from the Occasions Mini catalog. You use craft ink to place the color, and then run the plate with a piece of card stock on top through the Big-Shot. A cool idea. The dog stamp is from the stamp set Friends Fur-Ever. A punched "ribbon" from the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch finishes everything off.

The next card I cased almost completely from another SU! demonstrator, Patty Mickle. Her card was just too cute. It uses punches and a chocolate nugget candy covered in Designer Series paper to make an adorable robot.

The final project is a simple matchbox using the Bigz XL Matchbox die for the Big Shot, Basic Gray textured card stock and Love Impressions Designer Series Paper. To give the final touch, I added a heart punched with the Heart to Heart punch and the new Real Red Glimmer paper (also from the new Occasions Mini catalog).

Birthday Time

Today was my son's birthday. So, I thought I'd share with you the card I made for him.

The stamp set is To a Classic from the 2010/11 Idea Book & Catalog. I love it for it's simplicity. The card base is Tangerine Tango, and the image was stamped onto Whisper White card stock, colored with Stampin' Write markers and layered onto Basic Gray.

Hope you'll stop by again soon.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year. Okay, I know it's already the 5th day into the new year. However, life has been crazy. I finally had some time to play with my stamps, ink and paper and have something new to share with you.

I've been wanting to try my hand at making the adorable Betty Boop punch character that I first saw Ellen Kemper make (check out her blog at www.blinkthinkink.blogspot.com). She is just simply amazing at all she comes up with using our great punches. Anyway, I wanted to use it on a journal since I have a young girl who likes Betty Boop and her birthday is the end of this month. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. To give it the vintage look, I used a piece of Newsprint DSP. The journal was a purchased item from a discount store a year or more ago.

Thanks for stopping by.
