Elegant Easter

While blog surfing awhile back, I came across this card layout (can't remember now what blog I was visiting) and thought it would look great with the Sending Love Specialty DSP from the Occasions mini catalog, and the Beautiful Wings Embosslits die for the Sizzix Big-Shot, also from the Occasions mini.

I used the Circle Scissor Plus to cut the circle out of the designer paper. The butterflies are cut from Pretty In Pink card stock. Happy Easter was stamped from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set onto Very Vanilla card stock and punched using the Modern Label punch.

The final touch was spritzing over the finished card using a mixture of Frost White Shimmer paint and liquid hand sanitizer.

Thanks for stopping by.

Flowers Awash Sneak Peak

Here's a Mother's Day card I made using the Flowers Awash stamp set that will be available for purchase in April. This 2-Step stamp set will be available in the new catalog when it is released in July, but you have a chance to get your hands on it 3 months earlier! It's a neat stamp set, and I'm having fun coming up with samples using it. It's available as both wood-mount or clear-mount, your choice!

For this card, I used the emboss-resist technique. Stamped the stem and flower image using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder onto Whisper White card stock. Then, I sponged the color of the flower and the stem and cut the flower out. I used a large metal-edge tag (with the center removed) underneath. The colors are Regal Rose, Mellow Moss, Apricot Appeal, and Whisper White. The "mother's day" stamp is from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out using the Modern Label punch. Scallop trim along both sides is done using the Scallop Trim Border punch that is available for FREE with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration, through this month. After that, you'll have to wait for the new catalog in July!

MDS Mini Box

Did you know that you can do more with the My Digital Studio program than just scrap-book pages and cards? This little box, is a new download available for the My Digital Studio program (or your existing digital scrap-booking software). You can find this download, only $1.95 plus tax, on my Stampin' Up! website.

I designed the entire project on my computer, adding the designer series paper, embellishments and all. Then, I saved it and printed it out on Whisper White card stock on my printer. After printing, cut out the box and assembled it. If I had wanted to, it would have been very simple to add the ribbon and brads, etc. after printing and assembling the box.
