#SU! Penguin Place Z-fold w/Gift Card Pocket

Sometimes you stumble upon a great idea. That's how I would describe how I came upon this idea for a Z-fold card with a gift card pocket hidden inside.

And, if you are going to share this great idea why not use new products! So, I pulled out the Penguin Place Bundle. It'll be available beginning August 3rd for everyone to order, but Stampin' Up! Demonstrators have been able to purchase it since the beginning of July. Just one of the many perks of being a demonstrator! (Did you know you can add Demonstrator only pre-order items to a starter kit?)

Here are the measurements for this fun card:

Misty Moonlight cardstock: 4-1/4"x11", scored horizontally at 2-3/4" & 5-1/2"
Fresh Freesia cardstock: 3-1/4"x3-1/2"
Basic White cardstock: 3"x3-1/4" (2 pieces, one for the front & one for the inside)
Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper (this is a Sale-a-Bration item available with a $50 order before shipping & tax): 3 different patterns (could use the same)
Polka-dot pattern: 4"x5-1/4"
Stripe pattern: 2-1/2"x4"
Fresh Freesia Snowflakes: 2-5/8"x2-1/2"

Check out this tutorial video where I share some tips on how to line everything up super easy:

2011 Desktop Calendar

This month in my stamp club meetings, I had the gals make these desktop calendars. It was a big hit. The image to the left of the calendar can be changed according to the season (winter, spring, summer & fall) by removing the image and placing one of the other 3 onto the velcro dot (attached behind the image). The corresponding side of the velcro dot is placed on the back side of the images. I used the stamp set A Flower for all Seasons , #111592, $14.95. And, the extra images are stored inside in a small cellophane bag. The calendar base takes only 1 sheet of card stock to make, measuring 9" x 6-1/2". With simple scoring and folding, it goes together very quickly. Another demonstrator had shared the calendar file that is printed onto printer paper and cut to size. All fit into the 1/2" library clip from the clips assortment (#112580; $6.95). There are 8 of them included in the package along with a couple of other style of paper clips. While they are still ...
