Hey, Chick Happy Birthday Pop-Up Card

 I've been wanting to make a smaller scale slim-line card for awhile now. Then while playing with the Hey Birthday Chick and Hey, Chick bundles that are available for a limited time (both leave after June 30th), I knew I wanted to make a pop-up card.

These little "un-hatched" eggs from the Hey, Chick stamp set are just so cute! Couldn't you see opening this to a Happy Easter greeting? Hmm, next card maybe.

I opted for a birthday card using the Hey Birthday Chick Bundle. The images are just so fun.

Here are the cardstock measurements:

Sahara Sand: 6-1/2" x 6-1/4" and scored at 3-1/4" along the 6-1/2" side

Basic White: 5-3/4" x 6" and scored at 3" along the 6" side; 2-3/4" x 6-1/4" for stamping the greetings, and chicks for the inside; scraps to cut (3) of the 2nd smallest square from the Layering Squares Dies

Basic Black: scraps to cut (3) of the 3rd smallest scallop square from the Layering Squares Dies

Silver Foil: scraps to cut (2) of the chicken wire die from the Chick Dies (pieces have had adhesive sheet attached to the backside)

Gorgeous Grape: scrap to cut 2nd smallest scallop oval using the Layering Ovals Dies

Granny Apple Green: scrap to cut the 3rd smallest scallop oval using the Layering Ovals Dies

Welcoming Birthday CardO

 Seems like I'm always needing birthday cards! Maybe that is also you. The Welcoming Window Bundle is a great stamp set and die-cut bundle out of the January to June 2021 Mini Catalog. (There's also a Mother's Day greeting if you need one of those).

I decided that I liked the softer colors in this color combination: Gray Granite, Blushing Bride, Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso.

This was the first color combination I put together: Gray Granite, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green & Early Espresso. It's definitely bright and cheery!

Here are the measurements:

Gray Granite cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4" along the 8-1/2" side; 4-1/2" x 3-1/4"

Blushing Bride cardstock: 3" x 4-7/8"

Basic White cardstock: 1-1/2" square; 4" x 5-1/4" for inside greeting; 1-3/4" x 4-3/4 or scraps large enough to stamp & cut-out the flower

Early Espresso cardstock: 2-1/2" x 1" or scrap large enough to cut-out the window box

Pop-A-Greeting Class

 I've been wanting to host a class, but gathering in groups is still a bit iffy! So, taking a tip from my good friend Kathy, I'm offering what I'm calling a Pop-A-Greeting Class. All the card designs feature the stamp set Happy Thoughts. It's found in the January-June Mini Catalog, pg 28 for $21.00:

However, there are a number of other greeting stamp sets that could work as well.

The project kit features designer series paper that was only available only during Sale-A-Bration: Flower & Field. It's absolutely gorgeous! 

The project kit will include all the pre-cut papers, embellishments and envelopes to make 2 each of 4 card designs for a total of 8 cards. (All but one of the cards features a fancy fold.)

A PDF of the cards with measurements as well as a link to a video of how to assemble will be included. All samples have been stamped using the Tuxedo Black Momento Ink. (Note that pre-stamped images are against SU! policy. The kit will not include stamps, ink or adhesive.)

This is an event that is available to anyone in the United States (if you are in a different country, seek out a SU! Demonstrator in your area for classes & ordering)

February Thank You Card

 Each month I send a thank you card out for each order that I receive. This is the thank you card that I designed for this month:

The pictures just don't do justice to this designer series paper! It is absolutely gorgeous and I couldn't just keep it all to myself (a problem that I have to admit happens quite a bit).  I used a few items that are in the Fine Art Floral Suite of products featured in the January-June Mini Catalog. Be sure to check them all out below. 

The card itself is rather simple, but I did put together a short video that gives a couple tips that I found helpful.

Measurements:

Flirty Flamingo cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored at 4-1/4" along the 8-1/2" side; scraps to cut the "just want to say" greeting

Basic White cardstock: 5-1/4" x 4" for the inside

I was able to get 12 thank you cards from just 2 sheets of designer series papers. There are 3 sheets of the gold-printed specialty acetate papers, so I could easily get another 6 cards using that. And, I still have quite a bit of this beautiful paper left for other projects!

Butterfly Brilliance Faith Card FMS427

 

I've mentioned it before, but playing along with sketch challenges really helps boost the creative mojo-blues that set in from time to time. The sketches at Freshly Made Sketches are simple and fit my style pretty well. This week's sketch is below:

Here is the card that I created using this sketch:

Measurements:

Gray Granite cardstock: 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" scored along the 8-1/2" side at 4-1/4"; 3-7/8" x 5-1/8"; scrap for the die-cut stones (approximately 2-3/4" x 1')

Calypso Coral cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4"; scrap for die-cut butterfly inside 

Basic White cardstock: 4" x 5-1/4" for the inside; 5" x 6-1/4" to cut 6 butterflies using the Butterfly Brilliance stamp
