Monday night I met with my stamp club up in Thornton. The theme for the night was halloween. And, since to me that means treats, most of the projects were treat related.
The first project was a card using the new Circle Card Thinlits die that make quick and easy flip cards. It's difficult to tell from the photo, but the bat is done using the heat & stick powder and adhering the new black glitter on top.
The other side of the flip portion. The die comes with a lot of additional dies to cut out embellishments, and the chevron pieces and the scallop are both from the same die. The Witches Brew Designer Washi tape adds just a little more texture.
The 1" x 8" cellophane bags make super quick treats by just adding a simple topper. Here, I used the 1-3/8" Circle and the Scallop Circle punches. Jet Black Staz-On makes quick work of stamping onto the plastic.
This cute little bat was cased directly from the Holiday Catalog. Look on page 5 and you'll see it! It's made using basic black card stock adhered to a sheet of Multi-Purpose Adhesive then punched out using the 2-1/2" circle punch. Cut it in half, then punch out smaller circles on the straight edge using the 1" & 3/4" circle punches. Remove all but the center of one side's protective cover, attach pieces together at the center then dip into the black glitter.
After you wrap a 1-1/8" x 3-1/4" piece of basic black paper (with the 'Bats about you' image stamped in the center w/Whisper White craft ink) around a nugget candy, attach to the bat wings after you remove the remaining protective cover. Sprinkle more glitter to cover any additional sticky, if desired.
Voila! Cute little bat treats.
