#SU! Beachy Birthday Slide-Out Pocket Fun Fold Card

When it's just 6 degrees outside, I tend to want to think of warmer climates and for me that always include the beach. The Paradise Palms Bundle is the perfect set for that beachy feel.

When I think of the beach, besides sand and ocean waves I also tend to think of white-washed wood. The opposite sides of every piece of Heart & Home Designer Series Papers has a gray wood-grain design. Perfect choice for a beachy card!

So many of the birthday cards I send these days get sent with a gift card. Therefore I'm always looking for a great way to package the two together. This gift card pull card was just the thing.

Instead of using ribbon which adds a bit of bulk to the front and makes it a bit more difficult to mail, I added an adhesive-backed die cut which makes this card very mailable.

Hope you'll check out my video tutorial below:

Measurements:
Basic Gray cardstock: 4-1/4" x 11" and scored along the 11" side at 3-1/2" & 9"; 3/4" x 5-3/4" apply Adhesive Sheet to the back and run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with die-cut

Basic White cardstock: 3-1/2" x 7" and scored along the 7" side at 1/2" and 5" (this is for the inside pull); 2-5/8" x 3-3/8" for the beach scene image

Pool Party cardstock: 2-3/4" x 3-1/2"
Heart & Home DSP: 4" x 5". Cut so you have 2 pieces: 1- 1-3/4" x 4; 1- 3-1/4" x 4"
(You could substitute a pieces of ribbon or trim, 14" instead)

2011 Desktop Calendar

This month in my stamp club meetings, I had the gals make these desktop calendars. It was a big hit. The image to the left of the calendar can be changed according to the season (winter, spring, summer & fall) by removing the image and placing one of the other 3 onto the velcro dot (attached behind the image). The corresponding side of the velcro dot is placed on the back side of the images. I used the stamp set A Flower for all Seasons , #111592, $14.95. And, the extra images are stored inside in a small cellophane bag. The calendar base takes only 1 sheet of card stock to make, measuring 9" x 6-1/2". With simple scoring and folding, it goes together very quickly. Another demonstrator had shared the calendar file that is printed onto printer paper and cut to size. All fit into the 1/2" library clip from the clips assortment (#112580; $6.95). There are 8 of them included in the package along with a couple of other style of paper clips. While they are still ...
