Simple Butterfly Brilliance Card

Have you ever needed a simple card layout? Need to put together cards quickly? Then this just might be for you!

I love how the simple trio of circles forms the backdrop for the butterfly on these cards. And, if you didn't need 'get well' cards, this layout would easily make birthday, thinking of you, or so many more.

Measurements:
Basic White Thick cardstock: 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored along the 8-1/2" side at 4-1/4"
Basic White cardstock: enough for a 1-5/8" circle
Vellum cardstock: enough for a small butterfly, about 1-1/4" x 1-1/2"
Natural Touch Specialty DSP: 1" x 4-1/4"
Butterfly Bijou DSP: 2 Circles cut using the Layering Circles Dies, your choice using 2nd & 4th largest circles
Mint Macaron or Calypso Coral cardstock: 4-1/8" x 5-3/8"

If you don't already have a demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. You can order any of the products I used in making these cards by simply clicking on the images below. Don't forget to use the host code: JHKX2ZSE (good through March 30th). If you are ordering products that total $150 or more before shipping and tax, don't use the host code. You'll receive host benefits, but not if you use the code.

2011 Desktop Calendar

This month in my stamp club meetings, I had the gals make these desktop calendars. It was a big hit. The image to the left of the calendar can be changed according to the season (winter, spring, summer & fall) by removing the image and placing one of the other 3 onto the velcro dot (attached behind the image). The corresponding side of the velcro dot is placed on the back side of the images. I used the stamp set A Flower for all Seasons , #111592, $14.95. And, the extra images are stored inside in a small cellophane bag. The calendar base takes only 1 sheet of card stock to make, measuring 9" x 6-1/2". With simple scoring and folding, it goes together very quickly. Another demonstrator had shared the calendar file that is printed onto printer paper and cut to size. All fit into the 1/2" library clip from the clips assortment (#112580; $6.95). There are 8 of them included in the package along with a couple of other style of paper clips. While they are still ...
