Summer Fun Photo Book

This cute photo book was one of the projects made at my May stamp clubs.  The base consists of 2- 5"x7" pieces of Pacific Point cardstock (these are the book front and back).  The binding is a 5"x2.5" piece of textured Tangerine Tango cardstock.   The bear, an image from the Under the Stars stamp set, is stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and layered onto a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock.  The bear is colored in using Stampin' Pastels.

Letters are cut using the Big Shot and Go Go Boots alphabet Sizzlits die set and Summer Sun and Tangerine Tango cardstock scraps.  To put it all together, add 4 (or more) clear translucent envelopes stacked on top of each other (remove the protective strip to expose the adhesive, and adhere), starting with placing one onto the back piece (adhesive side down) and following with remaining envelopes.

When you have placed all the envelopes, put the cover on top, score the binding in half and place.  Holding it in the center of the binding, use the Crop-a-Dile and the 3/16" hole punch and punch top and bottom of the binding.  Finally, run 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon through the holes and tie in a knot on the front.

Bride Box

The inspiration finally came for the Bridal dress box using the Sizzix Big Shot.  This matches the tuxedo box I posted earlier.

The "bodice" of the dress is made using Shimmery White card stock.  To give the dress the look of fabric, I used the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 texture plates.  The buttons are half-pearls from the Pretties kit.

To finish it off, I added a strip of sheer fabric attached with a strip of Sticky Strip and a piece of Whisper White organza ribbon over the top edge.

Here is a side view to show the Box #2 die that the fronts are attached to:

Tuxedo Big Shot Box

This cute little box is an idea I came up with one morning.  At the time, I didn't know that I would turn it into a box.  But, after seeing other Big Shot box ideas I decided to try it with the tuxedo.
The base is made from a Whisper White piece of card stock cut using the Top Note Die from Stampin' Up!   A second Top Note Die is cut from Basic Black and cut from the top center down about 1/3 of the way.  Fold these out for the lapels using a bone folder.  The "buttons" are 2 circles punched with a 1/4" circle punch.

To make the shirt "ruffles" use Whisper White card stock and the scallop edge punch.  Make 4 edges and 1 piece that you scallop along both sides.  The bow-tie is free-hand cut from Basic Black card stock.

In order to make this into a box, cut Basic Black card stock using the Bag w/Scallop Die for the Big Shot.  Cut off the scallop part of the box, and adhere the rest together using Sticky Strip.  Cut out one more Top Note Die from Basic Black card stock for the back and adhere to the box back.  Then, adhere the shirt front  to the front of the box using more Sticky Strip.

Voila!  A cute table favor for prom, wedding, etc.

The 3 "R"s Card

I had some time to do a little leisurely stamping, and this card is what I came up with.  It uses the stamp set "Many Mower" from the Occasions Mini catalog.  The image is stamped in Jet-Black Staz-On ink onto watercolor paper.  Then, it's colored in using the Aqua Painters and Classic Stampin' Pads (here Riding Hood Red, Pacific Point and Summer Sun).  It's layered onto a piece of Riding Hood Red card stock and adhered to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The card base is Pacific Point card stock that has been run through the Sizzix Big-Shot with the Texture Plates Kit #4.  The strip of Basic Black card stock sets off the image for the finishing touch.

Par-Fect Day Card

We're making this card this month at my stamp club.  The idea came straight from the Stampin' Up! demonstrator website.  They have such wonderful ideas!

The stamp set is Many Mower from the Occasions Mini catalog.  The image is stamped onto watercolor paper using Jet-Black Staz-On ink and watercolored in using Classic stamp pad colors.  It's all "popped-up" using Stampin' Dimensionals.  The Designer Series paper is called Manchester.  The button is a Baja Breeze corduroy button (also from the Occasions Mini).  A real simple card!

Top-Note Die Cut Bunny Box Tutorial

This little box is very cute.  And, although Easter is just around the corner you can put one together very quickly!

Paper: Whisper White (6”x10-1/2” for box, 2- 4”x5” for die cut), Creamy Caramel (2- 1-1/4”x5-1/4”, 4”x5” for die cut), Lovely Lilac, Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery, Basic Black, Pink Pirouette, Whisper White (scraps)

Accessories: Paper Trimmer w/scoring blade, Big Shot machine, Top-Note Die, Birds & Blooms Die, 1” circle punch, 1/2” circle punch, Lg Oval punch, Sm Oval punch, Horizontal punch, 15” Whisper White 1/4” grosrain ribbon, Soft Subtles brads, Sticky Strip, Signo White Gel pen, Stampin' Dimensionals, Tombow Multi-Purpose glue, Crafter's Tool Kit (paper piercer).

Instructions: Take the 6”x10-1/2” piece of card stock and score along the10-1/2” side at 4-1/4” and 6-1/4”.

Turn to the 6" side and score at 1-1/2" and 4-1/2".
Cut along the last score lines up to the horizontal score line on one side. Turn and repeat on the opposite side.  Trim 2” from these cuts.

Fold along all score lines. Place Sticky Strip on flaps forming the box bottom.

Hold both remaining flaps together at the top, and punch in the center using the Horizontal punch.

Attach one Whisper White Top-Note Die to each side using just a little Sticky Strip. Follow by attaching 1/2” Creamy Caramel Top-Note Die to top of each side for the hat. Then attach a Creamy Caramel Strip for the hat brim.

Add the face pieces: eyes, nose, whiskers, ears, etc.  Finish by adding the flower elements and brad. Tie ribbon through the punched slots into a bow.
