Another Simple Fancy-Fold Card

I'm excited to share with you today another simple fancy-fold card idea.  I happened to see this idea on fellow demonstrator, Patty Bennett's blog.  She had done some creative stamping on the center panel, however I thought this layout was a great way to use that beautiful designer series paper that so many of us have in our stashes!  At the end of this post, you can view a quick video that I put together showing how quick and easy this card is to put together!

This was the first card I came up with.  It uses the Woven Threads DSP, and the coordinating stamp set, Woven Heirlooms.  While this stamp set will be staying around, the coordinating DSP will not be.

After having made the above card, I decided to see what other DSP's I had (and hadn't yet used!), and decided upon the Dinoroar DSP.  The Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set pairs with it quite well.

Here are the measurements that I used:

Pretty Peacock cardstock: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2", 2-1/2" x 11" scored at 5-1/2"
Whisper White cardstock: 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" and a scrap piece large enough for the Tailored Tag punch
Designer Series paper (Dinoroar here): 3" x 5-1/4" (cut in half so you end up with 2- 1-1/2" x 5-1/4" pieces), 2-1/4" 5-1/4"

2011 Desktop Calendar

This month in my stamp club meetings, I had the gals make these desktop calendars. It was a big hit. The image to the left of the calendar can be changed according to the season (winter, spring, summer & fall) by removing the image and placing one of the other 3 onto the velcro dot (attached behind the image). The corresponding side of the velcro dot is placed on the back side of the images. I used the stamp set A Flower for all Seasons , #111592, $14.95. And, the extra images are stored inside in a small cellophane bag. The calendar base takes only 1 sheet of card stock to make, measuring 9" x 6-1/2". With simple scoring and folding, it goes together very quickly. Another demonstrator had shared the calendar file that is printed onto printer paper and cut to size. All fit into the 1/2" library clip from the clips assortment (#112580; $6.95). There are 8 of them included in the package along with a couple of other style of paper clips. While they are still ...
