MOJO Monday #349

My "mojo" has been a bit lacking, and so I decided to kick it into gear by participating in a challenge.  I love the sketches on the MOJO Monday blog.  Here is this week's challenge:


And, here's my card.  I love the new Sea Street stamp set, and was thrilled when it was on the pre-order for Stampin' Up! demonstrators.  Then, after it came I struggled to come up with ideas for it.  This challenge seemed the perfect opportunity to pull it out.

Other stamps and accessories used are A Dozen Thoughts, Maritime Designer Series Paper, Coastal Cabana Thick Baker's Twine.

I love how the colors in a Designer Series Paper can take the guesswork out of color design!

2011 Desktop Calendar

This month in my stamp club meetings, I had the gals make these desktop calendars. It was a big hit. The image to the left of the calendar can be changed according to the season (winter, spring, summer & fall) by removing the image and placing one of the other 3 onto the velcro dot (attached behind the image). The corresponding side of the velcro dot is placed on the back side of the images. I used the stamp set A Flower for all Seasons , #111592, $14.95. And, the extra images are stored inside in a small cellophane bag. The calendar base takes only 1 sheet of card stock to make, measuring 9" x 6-1/2". With simple scoring and folding, it goes together very quickly. Another demonstrator had shared the calendar file that is printed onto printer paper and cut to size. Sunflower 3D Embossing Folder Techniques

  Do you ever need a quick, but 'wow' kind of card? When don't you, would be my response! That was the inspiration for this weeks card and video tutorial.
