Timeless Tropical Card Suite

I recently had my SU! team participate in a swap.  I love getting cards in the mail, and getting swap cards in the mail means that I get inspiration!  For a stamper there isn't much better.

These cards were inspired by one of the swaps I'd received:

They all use the same layout, but as you can see you get a different look by changing out the stamps and embossing folders.

Dimensions for the cards are as follows:

Card base - 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", scored at 4-1/4" along the 8-1/2" side; from the same card stock color a piece cut 5" x 3-3/4"
Basic Black card stock - 5-1/8" x 3-7/8"; 2-5/8" x 3-5/8"
Whisper White card stock - 4" x 5-1/4"; 2-1/2" x 3-1/2"
Vellum card stock - 2-1/2" x 3-1/2"

A list of the supplies is below, and you can follow the video link to see how I put these all together.

If you purchase the Timeless Tropical Bundle from me, I'll send you this card kit in the mail so you can make your own set of cards!

Simple Scrap Cards

Sharing with you today some simple scrap cards.

I first made this one for my team swap. When I'm stumped for a card idea, I often go to card layouts whether from the catalog, pinterest, or to blogs like MojoMonday.  This layout came from http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2016/04/mojo-monday-444.html

It was so easy that I decided to use it as one of the project for my stamp club in May.  If you are a paper crafter or stamper, you like me probably have a huge stash of designer paper.  I always fall in love with the paper!  And, I find it hard to let it go.  You could make 54 of these cards (using different patterns of course) with just one package of 12x12-inch designer series paper!  Wow!

For this card I used the Best Dressed designer series paper.  Because this is a 6"x6" paper stack, you won't get as many cards with this design, but you still would get a lot!

This card would be perfect for those younger ones in your life!  Playful and fun using the Birthday Bonanza designer series paper.

I made a video showing you how simple this card is to make.  Please watch, like and subscribe to my YouTube channel.   All these papers will be retiring the end of May (or sooner if they sell out).  If you love them, go to my online store (follow the links below) and purchase today!

Thanks & happy stamping!

My Wonderful Family Paper Pumpkin Alternative Projects

I have time to pull out and create with the April Paper Pumpkin Kit, My Wonderful Family!  What a fun kit indeed!  I made some minor  adjustments to the cards, and then made a scapbook page.  It's been a very long time since I've done any scrapbooking and it felt great!

Repetitively stamped the 'sister' stamp onto a piece of card stock (pear pizzazz here) to create the background image.  The rest of the card is pretty much just like the instructions in the kit.

Here as the card above, I repetively stamped the 'sister' stamp to create a background, but here I used a scrap piece of one of the card bases that came in the kit (cut down in size though).

I simply cut apart the card base after stamping the tree leaves.  I cut apart the shaded spruce bottom and re-attached it to the bottom of the card front, layering the entire thing onto a piece of pear pizzazz card stock (8-1/2"x5-1/2", folded in half for a base).  The rest of the card I followed the instructions in the kit.

\
I cut out one of the tree leaf images before attaching the tree trunk.  It seemed to scream 'place me on a scrapbook page'.  While digging through old pictures, I found this one of most of my immediate family that were in attendance for my dad's marriage to Marvean (over 10 years ago!).  The perfect picture for this page!

I was suprised how long it's been since I've posted here.  Life has been rather busy with taking on more responsibility with the Bible study I'm a part of.  With summer months, safer-at-home orders, and the like, I'm hoping to be better.  I'm also feeling more confident in my role after 2 years doing it now, so hopeful!

Let me tell you, Paper Pumpkin has gotten so much better since it's beginning!  If you haven't tried it for awhile, or you have been holding back, now is a great time to jump in!  I'd love to help you get started.

Happy stamping!
