Birthday Sneak Peek

I received my new catalog sneak peek items yesterday from the man in brown.  Ooo, so exciting!  Even better, I had time to create with some of them.

This card uses a couple of the new In-Colors.  And, I even used my sewing machine to stitch onto the card.  So fun!

Are you getting excited for the new catalog?

Monday's Daring Adventure

I've loved this stamp set (Daring Adventure) from the first time I laid my eyes on it, and I'm a bit sad that it will be retiring the end of next month.  It makes such wonderful "manly" cards.

As I wait for my new catalog stuff (of which I'm very excited about), I decided to play with some of the stamp sets that won't being seeing as much ink with me before long.  I took the inspiration for this card from the Print Poetry DSP stack out of the Spring catalog.  Using DSP is a great way to group colors.

Retiring Products Announced!

Stampin' Up! released the retiring stamp sets and accessories list today.  It's always bitter-sweet.  Bitter because I have to say goodbye to some favorites, but sweet because that means that new stuff is coming!

Tea for Two

I had time today to play.  For those who so often want to have time to take out their stamping "toys" and play just for fun (every SU! Demonstrator gets it, I'm sure), but often do not find the time to do so will understand.

Here's what I came up with.

There is absolutely no stamping on this card.  None.  But, I love it.  The layout is one that I got from a demonstrator meeting I attended a couple of months ago.  The Tea for Two designer series paper lends itself wonderfully to using the paper as the focal point.  I thought about adding a saying at the lower right side, but decided against it.

April Stamp Club Projects

This month I featured projects that would be great to give to that special lady in your life wether that's your grandma, mom, sister or friend.

This project is one that I cased from one of my team members, Michele Force.  It was adorable, and fit with the theme that I was going for this month.

This quick card uses the Sizzix Big-Shot and the Tasteful Trim XL Bigz die, making a quick card stacking up various pieces of Designer Series Paper and cutting them all at one time.  One of the many advantages of the Big-Shot.

If you want a really quick card, then My Digital Studio is the answer.  This card was created using a card template (I changed the message by choosing another stamp brush), choosing the print 4 card fronts on one page option, cutting out the fronts, and layering onto the card base card stock using Stampin' Dimensionals.  To step-it-up, I added 3 of the printed designer brads to the front.  Voila!

This last card was super simple and could be made in any color you choose.  I opted for Pool Party (I'm so glad this color is going to be hanging around, although I will still miss Baja Breeze) here and used the card stock, Designer Series Paper Stack, ink and embossing powder.  The Tea Lace paper doilies add just the right amount of "girlyness".

Magnetic Frame Class

Magnetic Frame Class
Sunday, April 21st
2PM to 5PM
My Home (if you need directions, please contact me)

Cost is $12, and includes everything (except the frame) to make a 5" x 7" magnetic frame and matching card with envelope.  The card can be a 'Mother's Day' card, 'birthday' card, etc.  Makes a great gift!

By choosing your own frame, you can use one you already have or purchase one that matches your style.

You can make more than one, just let me know how many when you RSVP.
Bring a friend, just RSVP for them too.

Please RSVP by Tuesday, April 16th so I'll have time to prepare.

I'll have bottled water, light snacks and lots of fun!  Make plans now to attend.

Can't make it?  How about hosting a private class in your home to make these.

Grateful Thanks

I don't usually post projects that use retried products, however I wanted to share this card I made.  The designer series paper and the lace ribbon are retired, but they worked so well with the image I couldn't resist.

The "So Grateful" image was done using MDS (Apothecary Art) then colored in using Stampin' Write Markers.  I love how crisp it makes the image.  I used the coordinating framelits to cut it and the layer out.

Quick and beautiful.  And, you can make a bunch of them at one time.

Thanks again for stopping by!

That's the Ticket!

Today I'm sharing with you a couple cards made using the "That's the Ticket" stamp set from the Spring catalog.  I was so eager to purchase this set when I first got my copy of the Spring catalog, and well....I just haven't stamped much with it.

This layout was cased (copy & share everything) from another demonstrator, but I don't remember her name.

Thanks for stopping by.

FYI, if you love Bashful Blue, don't wait to get your hands onto the ink, refill, marker and card stock!  They are going to be leaving the end of May, and like all retiring accessories, will only be available while supplies last!
