Birthday Wish

The new Sending Love Specialty designer series paper can be used for so many other types of projects besides just Valentine's Day.

I love the Pretty In Pink and Chocolate Chip combination. The wish is from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set Whimsical Words, and the punched accent under the ribbon is using the Scallop Trim Border punch (also available during Sale-A-Bration). The new 5/8" satin ribbons are just beautiful.

Never More than a Thought

From the moment I saw this stamp set in the 2010 Sale-A-Bration brochure, I knew it would be so much fun to stamp with. I finally got a chance this afternoon to play some with it. The houses and the roof-tops are stamped separately (using the Stamp-a-ma-jig really helps with this) and make assembling different houses so easy and fun. There are also trees and a cloud to include. And, if you get the coordinating Designer Series paper pack, you can do even more with it. My paper pack just came today, so I'll have to play more and include that!

Stamp sets used: Good Neighbors, Whimsical Words (both Free w/$50 order during Sale-a-Bration--Jan.5th to March 31st)

Card stock used: Crushed Curry, Soft Suede

Ink used: Soft Suede, Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Dusty Durango, Bordering Blue, Going Gray marker

Accessories used: Stamp-a-ma-jig, Soft Suede Polka-Dot 1/2" ribbon, Old Olive DSP, Stampin' Dimensionals, Scallop Trim Border punch

Something Sweet

It's a really cold day here, and the forcast is showing an even colder day for tomorrow. What a better time to do some stamping!

Here's a card that I made today. It uses a brand-new stamp set from the Occasions Mini Catalog called Something Sweet (#117688 (wood mount) $27.95) I used the gum-ball machine image, stamping it using Bermuda Bay Classic ink onto Whisper White card stock. The gum-ball images were stamped using Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie Classic inks. One of each color was stamped, cut out and then given dimension with Stampin' Dimensionals.

The accent is a Jumbo Grommet and a piece of Striped Pumpkin Pie ribbon.

In with the NEW!

It's a new year, and so it's time for a post with some NEW stuff!

I made a fairly simple card using Regal Rose, Rose Red and Whisper White card stock, Rose Red Classic ink and a couple pieces from the brand-new Sweet Pea Stitched Felt (#117266 for $7.95 out of the new Occasions Mini--available to order starting tomorrow morning!). The Sweet Pea Stitched Felt comes with 52 pieces total, so you get ALOT to play with! I got them for FREE, by completing the My Digital Studio certification program for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators. Just one of the perks!

You might also notice that I punched along one edge of the Whisper White card stock with a brand-new punch. The Pinking Hearts Border punch (#117649 for $15.95, also out of the new Occasions Mini catalog)!

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention the stamp I used. It's called Whimsical Words and can be yours for FREE with any $50 purchase (before shipping/handling and tax, that is) or by hosting a stamping party with orders of $300 or more, January 5th through March 31st, during Sale-A-Bration!

And, for the first time EVER, you can choose between wood-mount and clear-mount design stamps for Sale-A-Bration.
