Summer Fun Photo Book

This cute photo book was one of the projects made at my May stamp clubs.  The base consists of 2- 5"x7" pieces of Pacific Point cardstock (these are the book front and back).  The binding is a 5"x2.5" piece of textured Tangerine Tango cardstock.   The bear, an image from the Under the Stars stamp set, is stamped onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and layered onto a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock.  The bear is colored in using Stampin' Pastels.

Letters are cut using the Big Shot and Go Go Boots alphabet Sizzlits die set and Summer Sun and Tangerine Tango cardstock scraps.  To put it all together, add 4 (or more) clear translucent envelopes stacked on top of each other (remove the protective strip to expose the adhesive, and adhere), starting with placing one onto the back piece (adhesive side down) and following with remaining envelopes.

When you have placed all the envelopes, put the cover on top, score the binding in half and place.  Holding it in the center of the binding, use the Crop-a-Dile and the 3/16" hole punch and punch top and bottom of the binding.  Finally, run 5/8" Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon through the holes and tie in a knot on the front.

Bride Box

The inspiration finally came for the Bridal dress box using the Sizzix Big Shot.  This matches the tuxedo box I posted earlier.

The "bodice" of the dress is made using Shimmery White card stock.  To give the dress the look of fabric, I used the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds 1 texture plates.  The buttons are half-pearls from the Pretties kit.

To finish it off, I added a strip of sheer fabric attached with a strip of Sticky Strip and a piece of Whisper White organza ribbon over the top edge.

Here is a side view to show the Box #2 die that the fronts are attached to:

Tuxedo Big Shot Box

This cute little box is an idea I came up with one morning.  At the time, I didn't know that I would turn it into a box.  But, after seeing other Big Shot box ideas I decided to try it with the tuxedo.
The base is made from a Whisper White piece of card stock cut using the Top Note Die from Stampin' Up!   A second Top Note Die is cut from Basic Black and cut from the top center down about 1/3 of the way.  Fold these out for the lapels using a bone folder.  The "buttons" are 2 circles punched with a 1/4" circle punch.

To make the shirt "ruffles" use Whisper White card stock and the scallop edge punch.  Make 4 edges and 1 piece that you scallop along both sides.  The bow-tie is free-hand cut from Basic Black card stock.

In order to make this into a box, cut Basic Black card stock using the Bag w/Scallop Die for the Big Shot.  Cut off the scallop part of the box, and adhere the rest together using Sticky Strip.  Cut out one more Top Note Die from Basic Black card stock for the back and adhere to the box back.  Then, adhere the shirt front  to the front of the box using more Sticky Strip.

Voila!  A cute table favor for prom, wedding, etc.
